#141: How To Deal with Exhaustion and Being Stretched Thin In Motherhood with Julie Fernandes

This is another co-hosted episode with my special friend Dr. Julie from The Confident Parenting Podcast with Dr. Julie Fernandes! 


If you’re new to the podcast, Julie has her doctorate in occupational therapy, is a life coach for moms, and is completely passionate about helping women feel calm, organized, and joyful in motherhood.


In this episode, we are chatting about where we’re both at in dealing with exhaustion and feeling stretched too thin in motherhood. 


We both have three kids and very busy schedules, and sometimes that’s all it takes to send one of us spiraling into unhealthy habits,


Thankfully, between the two of us, we’ve amassed lots of tips and strategies that other moms can incorporate to get back that feeling of calm and control.


In our conversation, we discuss how we’re both managing our energy in life right now, how to prioritize, how to rest well, and more about investing in yourself when it feels overwhelming.

 Some big takeaways are:

  1. The only things we have control over are ourselves and our energy.
  2. When you reprioritize a task, ask yourself, “How important is this?”
  3. Women need to be working with their natural bodies and cycles in order to have optimal energy.
