This topic hit home for both of us as Julie is currently single-parenting while her husband is away, and I’m in between houses trying to carry on with normal life while home renovations are underway.
Needless to say, we both have a lot on our plates and it can be quite overwhelming at times.
Our conversation is about how the exhaustion in motherhood can be all-consuming, leaving little energy to be the moms we want to be. We talk about pursuing harmony instead of balance, and how giving yourself permission to enjoy what you love can make all the difference in the daily grind.
