Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast!
In this episode, I’m continuing the conversation on postpartum mental health, believing that the more we speak of it, the more that change will happen!
My guest is someone who I have SO much in common with, and after our conversation, I’m so encouraged by the work that she is doing in this area.
Dr. Jane Shomof is a mom of three, a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and the owner of Bloome, a business specializing in Maternal Mental Health.
In our talk, we discuss the unmet expectations of motherhood and the grieving that women experience during this time of transition. She shares her own story, the way she’s using Bloome to help women feel validated and prevent mental health disorders, as well as her tips for new moms preparing for postpartum.
Some big takeaways are:
Dr. Shomof and I agree on so much, but on this one point in particular - you have to prepare for postpartum.

If you’re unable to attend the next workshop, don’t worry - you can still work with me!
Consider signing up for a New Mom Assessment!
This is a 1-hour call where you and I work together to take a closer look at where you’re at with baby planning, assess some foundational pillars that help you prepare, create an action plan for you moving forward, and even do a baby registry audit. I’d love to walk through this information with you and be a part of your support team!
